Wordfest’s Imaginairium – The O’Neill Reads Extravaganza!!!

Starring Arizona & Heather O’Neill. With Jason Purcell, Neil Smith & Georgia Toews

At the DJD Dance Centre

Who has the most visually arresting, utterly tasty book review page on Instagram? Why, the O’Neills of course, the fearless mother/daughter Montreal duo. We’re bringing their Bookstagram to life, in a whimsical talk-show format. Joining them on stage are the authors behind three books highlighted by Arizona and Heather as “magnificent, magical works”: Jason Purcell and Swollening (“I’ve been travelling with it all week and people keep asking what’s in my pocket”),  Neil Smith’s Jones (“It balances sadness and humour in a way reminiscent of Miriam Toews”), and Georgia Toews’ Hey, Good Luck Out There (“At once vulnerable and brazen, Toews gives a new voice to addiction, one that highlights the world of female agency, friendship, and desperation”).

This event is part of Wordfest’s Imaginairium festival, Sept. 29 – Oct. 6, 2022. Connect with 60+ of the world’s most generous writers, thinkers, activators and inspirers, gathered just for you in Calgary, Canada. For more info: wordfest.com
