SPRING REGISTERED CLASSES
STUDENT PERFORMANCE GROUP
MAY 5 – JUNE 16, 5:30-6:30PM
This class will focus on learning choreography within the jazz family and how to perform. Led by DJD Company alumni, Dinou Marlett, you will have three opportunities to perform: Lilac Festival (June 1), DJD’s annual fundraising event, The Black & White Ball (June 7) and an in-studio demo where you can invite your friends and family (June 16).
Participants will need register for the full session to participate (no drop-ins).
DRUMMING
MAY 6 – JUNE 17, 8:00-9:00PM
Lead by our fantastic drumming ensemble leader Trudy Hipwell. This class is an introduction to the techniques and rhythms of West African drumming. Participants will need to bring a djembe. Drum rentals are available through Long and McQuade Music or Djembe Nut Drumming.
Participants will need register for the full session to participate (no drop-ins).
BOLLYWOOD
MAY 7 – JUNE 18, 5:30-6:30PM
High energy and lively choreography is what Bollywood will provide students of this class. Fun and challenging with its connection to the music and intricate hand and foot patterns.
