Two Screenings. Two Cities. One Swingin’ Cinematic Ride.

We’re thrilled to share that Suspending Disbelief: Distanced Swing, directed by Kimberley Cooper and Noel Bégin will be screened at two incredible dance film festivals this August!

First, Suspending Disbelief: Distanced Swing will make its U.S. premiere at the San Souci Festival of Dance Film in Minneapolis. This curated program celebrates jazz and American social dance forms, from tap to hip hop and beyond.

  • In-Person: August 16 at 4PM CST at the Southern Theatre
  • Virtual Viewing: August 11–24
  • Details & Tickets

Next up, we’re honoured to be included in Vessels: A Night of Dance Film, a one-night event in Cincinnati curated by artist and filmmaker Cat Rider. This screening showcases short films that explore movement, emotion, and storytelling through dance.

  • In-Person Only: August 23, 6:00–9:30PM at the Contemporary Arts Center (Black Box Theatre)
  • Tickets | More Info

This invitation holds special meaning—Kim and Noel first connected with Cat at the Dance on Film Festival in NYC, and that meeting led to this exciting opportunity.

Whether you’re in Minneapolis, Cincinnati, or watching from home, we’d love for you to join us in celebrating Suspending Disbelief: Distanced Swing and the power of movement on film.
