A local dance organization has gone above and beyond in terms of social distancing.

DJD Professional Dance Company has created a drive-in show, Amplified, that takes place in the massive windows of its building downtown. Scaffolds have been added to the open space, creating platforms for the unconventional performances.

DJD first put on the drive-in show during pandemic restrictions in 2020 and it was so popular, they’ve revived it.

Viewers can park in the lot across from 111 12th Avenue S.E. and turn up their radio for the soundtrack created for the all-ages performance.

It runs Jan. 14-16 and again Jan. 21-23 with two shows each night at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Admission is by donation and go online to https://www.decidedlyjazz.com/experience/performances/amplified/ to reserve your spot.
