From time to time we may contact you about upcoming performances, classes, activities, special events, and subscription, donation, membership, or volunteer drives. Any individual who does not wish to be contacted by mail, phone, or email for any of the above purposes, please contact us and we will ensure that your request is honoured.

Decidedly Jazz Danceworks does not sell, trade, or share your phone number or email address with any other business organization, nor do we rent or sell our mailing lists to commercial businesses. From time to time, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks may collaborate with other not-for-profit arts organizations. This may include co-productions, co-presentations, and shared marketing and subscription drives. Information collected as a result of such collaborations and partnerships may be shared between the participating organizations for the purpose of managing our relationship with you. The participating organizations must comply with strict data privacy standards, including rules and guidelines of federal privacy legislation.

From time to time we may exchange lists of names and addresses with other not-for-profit arts organizations that we believe may have events of interest to our patrons. This type of exchange happens only through a third party data and mailing house, so that neither organization has access to your personal information. The contracted third party must comply with strict data privacy standards, including rules and guidelines of federal privacy legislation, and is required to destroy the information supplied after one use. We do not exchange phone numbers or email addresses.

We may use personal information for the purpose of market research and contract that research out to a third party, but only when personal identifiers have been removed from the information and it cannot be traced back to a specific individual.

Storage of Information and Security Safeguards

Only authorized Decidedly Jazz Danceworks personnel have access to the personal information we collect. Financial transactions (such as tax receipts and payment information) are kept in secure storage for the minimum amount of time required through accounting principles and then are destroyed.

Sometimes our website contains links to third party websites, for your convenience and information. When you access a non- Decidedly Jazz Danceworks website, please understand that Decidedly Jazz Danceworks is not responsible for the privacy practices of that site.
