Decidedly Jazz Danceworks offers full and partial scholarships to hard-working, self-motivated, talented and dedicated dancers who feel a passion for both Jazz and the work of DJD, and who have a deep interest in performing with the company.

Auditions for the Pre-Professional Program are usually held during the first Jazz 4 class of the School of Decidedly Jazz fall session. An assessment of the progress and commitment of each student will be made to determine if the scholarship will be extended through the Winter Session. (Students are encouraged to register in the classes that they desire prior to the scholarship audition to ensure that space will be available to them. Refunds will be given if the applicant is successful.)

DJD offers the gift of an intense training Pre-Professional Program to a small group of students (the exact number varies from year to year). In return, the company expects the students to be proactive, self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic. In addition, the students have a volunteer commitment to the company and society (assisting with fundraisers, etc.) and must complete a set amount of shifts at the company's fundraising bingos before the end of the season.
