DJD is a not-for-profit, charitable society. Our founders believe that jazz is a profoundly human expression, and that our organization should operate in a deeply human manner.

The professional company of Decidedly Jazz Danceworks consists of 8 – 12 dancers and apprentice dancers who have irrefutable groove, sparking technique and deeply expressive natures. Under the guidance of our Artistic Staff, each the dancers is encouraged to bring their individual specialties. They all demonstrate a strong commitment to jazz dance.

DJD has thrived for over two decades with remarkable self-sufficiency due to our General Manager and administrative staff, plus our volunteer Board of Directors who are dedicated to fiscal responsibility. Often cited nationally for sound management, the organization nurtures the growth of the Company and the development of all staff.
